Families who travel outside of Alberta or travel via airplane, may not return to the daycare until after 10 days or if a COVID-19 test returns back negative.
After entering the mudroom, cohorts have their own entrances and doors will be labelled appropriately. When entering the facility, everyone must wash their hands in their designated cohort bathroom. There is hand sanitizer in the mudroom for your convenience.
Each cohort and their teachers has access to their own bathrooms on their own floor.
The playground will be only used by one cohort at a time and equipment will be disinfected and cleaned between each cohort. The outdoor toys will be organized and kept separate between each cohort group. Outdoor toy bins will be labelled appropriately. There will be NO community walks at this time.
Cohorts are to be kept separate during meal times and there will be a set seating plan for where each child will eat to help with social distancing. One staff per cohort will be designated to serve food to the children. Children and staff will wash their hands before and after eating. Food will always be served to children and no longer be served family style.
There will be a set arrangement for where cots and children will be placed throughout their designated rooms to ensure social distancing. Children who do not nap will be asked to stay in their cots OR at a table until others have fallen asleep and then after they will take part in quiet activities.
